What bug in ACNH do you hate?

absolutely agree with the mole cricket comments.. I also get so annoyed by the loud noise. they aren't worth digging up after donating it to my museum. the only times I take the time to dig it up are when it's near an area I'm spending and extended period of time and I can't stand it any longer lol... after hours of remodeling and decorating they've truly become my enemy.

Mole Cricket, 100%!

Circadas are low pitched, same with most other crickets, but the Mole Cricket is the most irritating grinding noise, and also a pain to locate the exact spot where it is hidden.

I don't think I've ever hated any insect on here. I can kind of ignore the cicadas and the molecricket. Even if they can be really noisy. I think the mosquito is more annoying how it tries to follow and will stop the game if it bites you. Or maybe the cicadas shell since it's so elusive. I've never found one regularly. I had to go on the nook mile island and tear up the whole land except for a few trees. So lesser bugs could spawn. And even then it took something stupid like an hour to find only one.

All the rarest beetles that can spawn on palm trees in the summer. Many of them I've never seen, or on the unlikely chance I did see one, they fly away too quickly to catch. Another summer just went by and several of these beetles are still the only ones preventing me from completing my insect collection. I mean, they look cool but where are they and will I ever get them.

Same! I only managed to get one cicadas shell after intentionally destroying a mile island so only it could spawn and it still took forever to show up. I gave up on even trying to find more or 3 for Flick's models. A cicadas shell is rare and elusive when there's tons of cicadas in-game summer. It just doesn't make sense lol.

These fast dragonflies make me mad! I hate running behind them during hours and most importantly, on the first day, it's very frustrating to see them fly away on the other side of the river with no option to catch them and follow them. When you "attack" with your net, they just disappear far far away!
I hate them.
Missing a tarantula or a scorpion is frustrating too: you see your 7k (I think) bells just disappearing. And I hate the fact they attack while you're holding your net. You're not attentive enough and bam, caught!

I despise wasps. Every single time I decide to cut down trees I either get them on the first or second tree. I have comically bad luck with them spawning for me and it's super annoying. I already hate chopping wood and they make it even more tedious and annoying Once I chopped down 2 trees in a row and got wasps on both of them. Stuff like that happens to me all the time lol

Pretty fun fact is the hives are loaded into one of the trees when you boot up the game. So if you accidentally find one you can restart and then dig the tree and put it in your pockets. Then the hives will be trapped in your pockets/tree and every time you load as long as you don't get rid of the tree/replant it/ect it will remain in limbo in your pockets and never respawn.

Sort of like how the branches have a limit that can fall or the fossils. So if you don't pick those up/dig them up more won't spawn.

I also loathe the mole cricket. It can be hard to hear where it is and it gives me a little jump scare whenever I do dig one up. Then you've got to switch tools to catch it. It just grosses me out more than some of the other bugs in the game. When I was new to the game, the tarantulas and scorpions scared me more than they do now. I finally got used to them. But I still loathe the mole cricket.

i just so happen to be the only person on the planet who likes catching mole crickets. i think it's fun to try and find and catch them. but i usually play with the sound off these days, so i usually don't bother with them anymore.

mosquitos annoy me for the same reasons they annoy other people. (i guess that makes this game truer to life though.) but also, this is definitely a skill issue on my part, but ants and flies are also REALLY annoying because the way to catch them feels so convoluted and something i wouldn't be able to figure out without looking it up because of course i don't just leave garbage lying around. and even when i do have to have an eyesore of litter out i feel like they never show up. apparently you specifically have to leave them on the grass which i swear i did?? i guess i can try again in a different part of the island but it's so annoying. all this for bugs that cost less than 100 bells each. i mean, you only have to catch them once for museum purposes, at least. i doubt any of my villagers are gonna be bothering me to catch 1 ant for them.
