I'm almost done with Fire Study by Maria Snyder. Hopefully I can finish it tonight or tomorrow and start Dreams of Gods and Monsters.

I'm reading The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman for a Social Injustice project in my English class. It's actually a nice book, but I'm almost finished with it. I've had it for this whole month, but we had a week off because of snow, and we're doing state tests now. I've only got a few more pages to go.

Right now I'm re-reading "Why Does He Do That?: Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men" by Lundy Bancroft. I keep skipping from chapter to chapter, forgetting certain bits, going back and highlighting and underlining... if anyone out there has ever been in an abusive relationship, please pick up this book, or try to find one of the pdf links that are going around online. It is completely and totally life changing and I mean that whole-heartedly. No exaggeration whatsoever. So much of it has been so enlightening to me and helped me along in my recovery, and even just gaining that extra bit of insight (though I'll never truly understand abusive people) has been invaluable.

As for fiction, the last thing I read was Howard Philip Lovecraft's "The Color Out Of Space" ~ One of my favorites from him, though I was introduced to him through The Call Of Cthulhu, as most people were. I have a miles-long to-read list (I ought to sign up for goodreads lol, too lazy right now though) with At The Mountains Of Madness and The Rats In The Walls at the tippy-top. Also, "The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath" - I just really love Nyarlathotep, okay - I have a lot of reading to do ♥

I read that in seventh grade! It was really good! The whole thing was so amazingly different.

I feel like Mockingjay might have been better if it were longer, maybe? Idk. There are things about it that just don't sit right with me, and I feel like she may have rushed important parts of the book in order to reach the end.

I also didn't like the epilogue, even though

I wanted Katniss and Peeta to get together lol.

I thought the epilogue was one of the books redeeming qualities.
The worst part was Bonnie & Twill. So irrelevant, glad they cut that out of the film.

I'm reading What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty. It's really good so far. I just read Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn, the author of Gone Girl. I couldn't put either of those books down.

I'm currently reading Insurgent, as most people know is the second book in the Divergent series. I watched the Divergent movie, and loved it so much that I devoured the book in a few days! Now I'm reading Insurgent before the movie comes out at the end of the month.

And it's not really a book, but I'm reading Emily ****inson's poetry for my literature class. She lived about an hour away from me, and attended my top choice college! Her life and poetry are very interesting, and I'm enjoying learning about her and reading her poetry!
