I gave Stitches "Hug me bro" he is a stuffed animal after all so it fits perfectly. And I gave Eugene "Cheapskate" Because there is a cheapskate on Spongebob Mr Krabs and he has the same real name Eugene the Koala does so that really fits in.
I don't know what i'll make my other villagers catchphrases be because its too hard. I might make Chrissy's catchphrase "Toadette" because she has a pink suit and she has white polka dots on it which resemble a lot like Toadette's mushroom hat.
Mine say things from Dr Who, like "hello sweetie" or "timey wimey" or "spoilers." One says "tardis." filbert says "Dr. who?" and for some reason it is always funny.
the only original catchphrase for any of the villagers in my town is Papi's who says "Haaay" and tia who says "teacups" (it made me laugh when i first saw it)
other then that all the other villagers say a pun of some sort.
I've kept most of them original, though I've changed a couple of greetings for the villagers I want to keep. Some of my villagers also ended up copying each other's catch phrases randomly so it's really funny when it's something species-specific and an animal of an entirely different species is saying it.
