I've always hated gyroids. I sell them whenever I dig them up. When my brother and I shared a town in Gamecube he'd get home from school before me, so he'd sign in as my character and put gyroids all over my house.
I never really got the point of them in the game. I think most of them are weird/creepy looking and sounding. The only one I ever liked is the Wee Dingloid because it's really small and has a nice bell sound.
I love them. They're an aspect of the original GC game that I'm glad never got phased out. Majority of them I'll sell but I do have my favorite.
I REALLY miss the gyroid that used to be your "mailbox" of sorts...I wish we had that back. Not necessarily to replace the mailbox options because I love those. However I liked my little door guard and I liked being able to have him hold five items to sell, giveaway, or just store.
They've sort of grown on me over the years. Like, my fondness of them has grown in inverse proportion of their availability.
Pockets full in PG, half he cracks in WW were gyroids, and in NL I've only run into like three of them...guess absence really does make the heart grow fonder ;_;
