What are thoughts about the shovel

What do you mean? What are you asking? It's a shovel and it functions like a shovel. It performs the necessary functions of a shovel. What do you dislike about it?

It is hard to determine exactly where you will dig and I've dug up flowers by accident several times, it does however serve its purpose.

what alternative do you really have though? maybe go practice with it rather than just start whiney threads eh?

I have no complaints about the shovel.... it gets slow with wifi-ing but thats not its fault! I planted lots of bushes and can't think of anytime I screwed up, you just gotta think before shoveling like crazy... line up your scoops

nor do I think its slow, in fact it seems more direct than previous games

100 percent agree with this. I've only missed with the shovel maybe twice, and it was my fault for not making sure I was completely turned in the proper direction. It's a tool that serves a purpose, it's not pointless at all. I could say the same thing about the fishing rod, but it's my fault that I'm not better at using it, not the game's fault for including it.

Are you kidding me? Without the gold one, you'd never have money trees (first aside since you use the glowing spots for money trees)! Outside the original game where it let you randomly dig up 100 bells, the gold truly serves its purpose!!

The shovels are great, they are part of finding all these buried and rock discoveries etcetera. Each different type of shovel has a neat special ability, guess it can be slower when visiting another town and the connection lags a bit, but shovels are good for being useful around the game cx

I love the shovel (landscaping is my favorite!). Ive never really had a problem using it. The few times I've messed up using it were entirely my own fault.

this is a very interesting and vague thread lmao. its a shovel, i have no complaints.

I love my shovel. I use it the most out of all the tools but I do have to agree that it's quite slow. It's kinda unbearable when you're doing an ore tour on wifi because there's an extra delay.

I don't think you can plant trees and such without a shovel...you have to deal with it.

it's my fav. i love the shovel..... it's the one tool i always keep in my inventory (the rest i keep in my locker or letters). it's the tool i use the most and i don't know what i'd do without it honestly...

I think the shovel is a wonderful tool. It's sturdy and beautiful and it works hard. Without my shovel, I am nothing. I'd die inside if someone were to steal my beloved shovel.

I agree that the aiming is difficult. I wish that it was a two step mechanic - step one choose the shovel, then a square appears on the ground, move the grid around to the location you want a hole/remove, then click again.

I also think this mechanic would be great when placing PWP, houses, etc.....instead of "oh no too close", one step, "oh no too close", repeat.

While not quicker, would make placement much better and accidents less often.

Well I can now add "Finally heard someone complain that shovels exist" to my list of weird things before I die.

Seriously though, unless you have really poor aim there's nothing wrong with any of the shovels???

Or put down path squares around the area you want to dig, then remove the square in the area you want to dig, then you won't miss at all, because the shovel won't dig where there is a path on the ground. I do this all the time, especially when planting, so I know it'll be accurate.
