What are the little things in ACNL that annoy you?

The fact that you can no longer convince a villager to not move on their moving day, and how the only way you can possibly even know that they're planning to move at all is 100% up to random chance.

you should see my town, theres TONS of rocks

I don't know what the max is, but I have 7 permanent rocks in my town. Fortunately, they are in pretty good places, so they don't bother me this time. This was something I purposely checked for when I created it. Why?

My previous town had only 4 rocks. Downside? EVERY SINGLE ONE was in a bad place. It was terrible. By the time I thought about it, I had already built up the town some and decided to try to put up with it. But over time it annoyed me enough that it was one of the reasons I went ahead and reset.

I hate that you can't drink your take out coffee indoors. Like, you buy a coffee from Brewster, and then you can't even take it out of your pockets until you leave. What If I wanna drink from a little to-go cup IN THE PLACE? It's something I hope they change when/if a new Animal Crossing game is made.

the fact that rocks cannot be removed makes me really angry. id pay 250,000+ bells to remove a single rock.

I get annoyed when I'm arranging furniture and a villager randomly drops in meaning I can't arrange anything until they leave.

- Rocks (;v; I have one rock in the middle of one of my roads and it annoys me to no end ahh)
- Villagers not pinging about moving
- Villagers pinging about changing their catchphrase or greeting
- Pine trees being limited to the top part of the town
- Tree/bush limit
- Dead spots

Having to wait for ages to get the PWPs you want suggested. I know about the diving trick but it has never worked for me.

The amount of allowed villagers around town. I HATE when I have to keep closing the game just to look for them.

Waiting for them to be in their house is another thing. I mean, that's just my fault because I keep regifting them furniture & I wanna see where they put it.

Oh, here comes the annoying thing... They put gifted furniture in the WORST places. Peanut kept putting the fridge next to the table where a chair should be.

There are quite a few things that I find extremely annoying about animal crossing that would make it so much better without them:

1) ROCKSSS!!! They are so annoying and you cant move them, they get in the way of paths, planting trees, planting bushes and for villagers placing their houses. For some reason any town I create I seem to have an insane number of rocks everywhere or is it just me that thinks that?
2) BUSHESSS!! I find them extremely annoying when landscaping. You can't plant them next to rocks and you can't plant more then 12 in a row. If you could my town would look so much better than it does now!
3)VILLAGERS!!! There are a few things that annoy me about villagers. One thing would be that they do not walk along the paths I place, the second one is that they just plant and water flowers as they please which leads to flowers being in the wrong places and finally me trying to get them to move into the correct spot is a struggle!

They are the three main small things that annoy me alot!

I dont like the northern tree rule. Yeah, they're northern trees but what if my towns just a northern town? Having the limit seems useless and its not fun not being able to add the trees to the lower half of my town

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I never ever noticed this. I seriously had to think about my town for a minute when I read this, and I could see it, but never did before.
I guess what you don't know can't bother you. But now that I know it will bother from now on. LOL

Reading all of this makes me think that I got pretty lucky with my 6(?) (Yeah I never counted) rocks. They all seem to be in places I don't need (yet) *touches wood.

Now things that annoy me:
  • You remove designs on the ground with the same button you use to pick up items. Whats up with me always removing my paths when I want to pick up fruit or a flower?
  • You can only store ten designs per character. Storing them in the larger storage removes them from my town so I have to make so many characters I don't know what to do with or where to put their house, just to make nice paths... And in combination with the point above: I have to switch characters when I accidentally remove a path, thats usually a couple of minutes extra work per day...
  • You have to move through 16 villagers to get a dreamie back when you accidentally lost them.... This can be pure agony without amiibo cards and if you don't want to loose the other villagers.
  • You are not always notified before it's too late that a villager wants to leave. It would be much nicer if, considering you take the time to play at least once a day, you will get at least informed by Isabelle once that someone plans to move OR you can change their mind on the day they leave. They could add that villagers have to hand in a form if they want to leave the town, so can just check the town hall once a day and ask Isabelle if someone has handed in something like that.
  • The fact that you can't act against stupid "design"-choices your villagers make. Mine always sell their stuff if I don't block off retail so their houses end up almost empty. Then suddenly they start wearing the UGLIEST shirt but refuse to change it.... I want to have simpler options of giving them a new shirt or changing out a pice of furniture in their home...
  • You don't have enough storage to keep every non-catalogue item in the game. I know that storage should be limited.... But I want to be able to at least keep everything I can't get again...
  • That items you cannot repurchase aren't always marked. I have to check the catalogue often just to make sure I can sell something..
  • Probably the thing I hated from the beginning of New Leaf is that they cut the gyroid storage. It was my favourite feature added in city folk and I liked how it added more personality to Brewster and how it solved my issue what to do with the gyroids since I didnt want to sell them. Now I have to try to fit them all into my museum even though i could probably find a better thing to display there...

I'm sure there are many more but these came to mind right now.

There are a 'few' things that annoy me:

- The sound that plays when you can't carry anymore letters. My mailbag is always full and it's really annoying.

- Pockets, just pockets.

- Trying to water a certain group of flowers but your character waters a different one instead.

- Accidentally taking out a design pattern when you're trying to pull up a weed, pick up an object, a flower, and other things.

- Lyle talking waaaaaay too much. Like I only need my score. You keep giving me the same advice over and over again so just cut to the chase!

- When that certain villager ALWAYS pings you no matter what.

- Flowers wilting every day.

- Having 50% of the conversations with villagers about trading stuff. I'm not interested!

Yeah, that's pretty much it. There may have been a few pointers that are nitpicky but they still drive me up to the wall.

What I do with the several villagers-just-for-paths is making everyone an alter ego.
I have myself, the mayor, with the nice house, a fashion designer, a gardener and a geisha.
I think it's cool.

Nobody mentioned this yet, but how you have to LOOK UP song names so you can write them in. And they don't always work. I was banging my head againist the wall (Not literally) that K.K
can't seem to know Cafe K.K. Like, WHAT?!

The fact I can’t visit my own DA so I can check how it looks when other players visit it.

When a villager pings me just to change their catchphrase or nickname.

Oh, and when I talk to Lloyd and Tom Nook ends up blocking me in front of Lloyd's table! I know I can just push him away, but.. Personal space, please, Mr. Nook.. :o

I hate that too. Even worse is when you find some really great path someone made, but it's a complicated path that requires like 8 different slots. :(

The more QR slots is one of the things that Happy Home Designer has that New Leaf didn't get even post-WA update. I hope the next AC game has more.

I don't like the town tree.
It blocks my view of the waterfall, and behind it is a tarantula hot spot, making it almost impossible to catch one.

And it's an eyesore.

Villagers adding/replacing new items in their house and villagers changing their clothes via conversations or villager package delivery.

I want to keep them as original as possible.
