What I find amusing is that people who have been here for half a month think they're no longer new, and refer to other new members as "they" like they've been here years.

I think after you put up with us for a year, you can no longer be considered new.

I joined almost 2 weeks ago and I have 171 posts. Thats nowhere close to 500.

I think the reason a lot of people have so many points is the way the City Folk part of the forum flows... When I first joined a few days ago, I was surprised by this... There are just enough active members here for there to be around three posts at a time being posted to that board but it's still small enough for people to feel obligated to respond if they're the least bit relative to a topic... In a larger forum, only the most active members would be recognized so people wouldn't be so lucid with the posters...

This would be a good time to mention my view on quality verses quantity.

I will always respect members for quality posts more than quantity and you should probably do the same, unless a good post to you is "yai!!!! k thanx by"

i got 800 posts in a month (because i joined in early november) i did have a "spamming" problem but most of it is because i spend all day on the computer and am addicted to the bell tree :S

I think it's fine. Posting is no competition, so as long as they're on topic and don't double-post half the time then it's no problem.

Only some? The posts Tubers make here are the same as they make where they came from. Usually full of grammar and spelling issues, multiple posts that are irrelevant to the topic, and one or two word (or one emoticon) replies. More people doesn't give a forum a good reputation - more intelligent discussion does.
