Definitely the fact that you can place funiture outside now! I think that is definitely going to allow for much more freedom and customization. Also the fact we can finally put the villager houses where we want them to go instead of tediously having to plot reset them. Being able to choose the features we want from the beginning such as our skin tone,eyes,hair etc.. The tool that was used to get across rivers looked neat. Same with the path making tool as well. Hopefully there will be no more grass wear then.

My own island to customize has pretty much been the dream since using my GBA with AC on GameCube...

Otherwise, 8-player online is fantastic. The spoiled part of me wishes it was something crazy like 16 or 32, but 8 is great.
