What a bummer!!

About a week and a half ago, I asked someone on here(who appears to have been banned, as I can't find their messages) to hold my items while I restarted my town. When I was ready to take my items back, their gates were closed. When I messaged them about it, all they replied with was "Thanks for the stuff! ".
I lost several of my dream villagers, all the golden tools(minus the slingshot and bug net), 10 million(i think that's the number) bells, and the cafe and princess set. I'm devastated! And since I've had a great deal of other big losses(the only one I'm willing to talk about is that a good friend of mine took their own life, which made me terribly depressed...), this doesn't make me any happier.
Could someone lend a hand? You don't have to do much, really. All I need is someone to talk to.

As for the animal crossing losses, the only thing I can really think of is you could join the one year challenge. Everyone there is starting from scratch and joining together to help one another, Im sure youll fit right in, you can visit me any time you like

Not really. I'm pretty sad about the whole thing... and about the one year challenge- I've already restarted and I've become pretty attached to my new town. I also barely have any money, so I can't buy another copy of ACNL to do the challenge

If you restarted your town recently, I say go join them anyway! Im sure theyll take you in anyway and youll have some people to join with at the same kind of place in the game

I honestly can't wrap my mind around how people can be so rude! Did they seem nice and trustworthy when you asked them? Were there any red flags at all?

They seemed pretty nice at the time! I mean, they did have a 75% rating, i think, but other than that they seemed fine.

Oh my gosh this is so horrible! I can't believe there are people on here who would do such terrible things...acnl is supposed to be an escape from troubles in RL so that we the players can just indulge & relax ourselves in the game, and scamming is just completely unacceptable!! And I'm so sorry to hear that you are going through so much at the same time

ah - I always look for 100% rating, and for anything below that, I look for and consider 1) specific comments about the negative rating, 2)how many total ratings this person have 3) how recent was the negative rating
