wetsuit trick isn't working

so I'm starting to landscape my town so I decided to do the trick to get pwps faster and it didn't work at all

Attempt #1: 5 mins; Alfonso asked a question
Attempt #2: 5 mins; nothing
Attempt #3: 5 mins; nothing
so at this point I'm like oh maybe I'm not doing it long enough so I set it to six minutes but the same thing happened, no one pinged; do I have to wait longer? bc I remember doing this in my old town and it was fine

Patience is key. Best to have have full pockets so they can't buy or sell or give you something.

it's not super quick, sometimes it takes a while.

i personally rarely do the trick, i'll be in one part of town landscaping oe something and then i'll walk around a bit to see if anyone pings. the trick isn't really, like "yo get all the pwps super quickly" but yyee patience my friend, patience..,

I tried it once and my pockets are always accidentally always full. It worked right away. Make sure you leave your character in the corner of the map in the water for a good few minutes.

In one of my towns the wetsuit trick never worked. I just went and harvested fruit. The villagers usually ran up requested a PWP and than took off. It could have been the axe that I had in my hand at the time.

If you do the wetsuit trick keep track of the time you've been playing. If you go pass an hour the villagers wouldn't ping. You need to get the you've been playing too long out of the way. Than try again.

You have to be far enough away from the villager.
