I tried to do the wetsuit today for getting pwps. I really want the bell, the statue fountain, the fairy-tale streetlamp, clock or bridge, the cube structure and the water pump. Then i put my pink wetsuit, get on water and standed by for 5 min. I runned in front of all my villagers. No one pinged me. I'm doing something wrong?

Villagers will not ping you if you played for a while or being inactive (like just standing around, not moving
your character at all for example) and didn't spoke to any of them in that time. Say you played for like 30
minutes nonstop and didn't talk to your villagers in this time, when you then talk to one of your villagers,
they mostly say something like that you looks sleepy and maybe should take break. As soon as you hear
this from one villagers, other villagers should start to noticed and also ping you.

Make sure to talk to a few villagers before you go into the water and maybe try out to only stay for 2 or
3 minutes in it. Then when you go out and walking through your town, a random villager should actually
ping you again.

I usually would take all my bells away, then I would clear my inventory, then place them with flowers or shells, then I would go in the water for 8 minutes, and also (do not shut your 3ds during this process because it won't work) then in the meantime, I would draw something on my computer, as I wait.

But i talked with them all in 30 minutes, filled my pockets with flowers that they couldnt buy and i didnt got standed by...

Hm, weird. I only knew that problem with villagers not talking to someone if you didn't talked to them
for a while. Either they didn't had a reason to ping you at all or maybe something went wrong and you
didn't noticed it. I had also some trouble when I try this trick for the first time back then and it took me
some time till it finally worked.

I would also keep in mind that each PWP can only come from a certain type of villager, so for the ones you're aiming for look up which villager types you need to suggest them. If you (hopefully) have one of those types in your town, you can try to 'aim' yourself at them after you get out of the water to increase the odds of getting what you want.

If it assures you at all, I can verify that the wetsuit trick does still work, as I just use it a week or so ago to unlock the PWP I've been wanting since I first started playing. It only took me two tries.
