Went to check the game and save is gone?

Soooooo I am excited for horizons and went back to play new leaf...and everything is gone, when I started up the game it asked to create a town so all of it is gone.... has anyone had this issue with the cartridge?

I know its probably impossible to recover, Im just so frustrated. I had a lot of money, a finished museum and a lot of hats....so many hats. And all my flowers!?

Oh no... did you by any chance see that it said something along the lines of "save data corruption" or anything like that? That can happen, unfortunately... although I've never heard of it happening just from taking a long hiatus. One of the causes that I know of is if you turn the game off while it's still saving (when it's not finished the save loading screen). There could have been a possibility that that happened during your last play. :<

Thanks Dizzy, not sure what the rv items are as I was on hiatus before the welcome amiibo and such hit. Im trying to farm up some bells right now so I can attempt to get my house back into sorts. I had a whole bakery theme going in my house before T.T

Oh I'm really sorry you lost all that http://moridb.com/items/sets/welcome <-- Here's a link to the Welcome Amiibo items that were added after the update. If you haven't done it before, basically you can invite certain villagers to your campgrounds (or visit another person's campgrounds) and buy certain items off them that you can't buy from the Nooks. There's also a few new bakery themed items with the update so just let me know if you want any of them and I can get em for you!
