I restarted again, like I was debating :)

This time I didn't take any of my things, I'm just starting from nothing. I think it's going to feel a lot more fun that way, since bringing my things felt almost like cheating, in a way.

My starter villagers are so-so (with the exception of Bob...I love that lil turd so much...) and I got apples as my fruit, which is good. I either wanted them or cherries. Also I got the circle pattern grass which I hear turns into little stars in the snow so I'm super excited for that c:

also I've seen people doing a little challenge where they keep the same town for an entire year so I'm considering doing that. I think it would help me get over constantly wanting to reset, and it would be fun to see how much progress I can make in a whole year of steady playing.

maybe I'll even post a daily screenshot or two on my twitter :p

EDIT: forgot to mention! my twitter is @fishcircles

That sounds awesome.
I'm still messing around with my dreamies because I love Bob.

Anyway, I've been debating resetting too, just because I don't really like having cherries as my native fruit since I've had those the most but I'm not sure.
I hate getting all my junk back again.
It takes so long.

I might do it at some point anyway though.
The challenge sounds fun though, maybe I'll reset and then do that too.

that's funny, I've actually NEVER had cherries as a native on any animal crossing game ever lol

but yea to me the worst part is unlocking all the shops again :/ it seems like it takes foreverrrrr! The only thing I sorta regret is not taking my Gracie clothes and weeding day furniture with me but oh well, what can you do.

Ah, I recently reset too and decided to start over with nothing. I'm not time travelling or anything, and it's fun to play through day by day for once. I'm really liking my town and my villagers, and just focusing on enjoying the game rather than unlocking and completing everything as soon as possible is really refreshing.

Oh, this makes me feel so bad. I'll have had my town for a year in July, and it's so underdeveloped. I have so many things to organise: random piles of hybrids, patterns to be replaced with bushes/trees, my house... I do have a few nice places though, and I'm slowly progressing, so eventually it should be presentable. :P
Good luck on your new town, and remember (for next time) that resetting because of your map won't ever work out, because you will always find imperfections in your maps. You chose it for a reason, and try to love it for that reason and enhance the little imperfections. :)

aw that sounds great! i have my town, astoria, that I totally love (landscaped, beautiful & everything) on my digital copy and i just reset my cartridge. so on the cartridge im going to make astoria an actual space town/ apocalypse theme. it's going to be really creepy. i got ADORABLE starting villagers: Ankha, Erik, Kabuki, Peggy, & one other i don't remember. good luck in your new town! c:

Cherries were the most common one I've gotten, and I have them now.
I think I've had Pears as well, and peaches.
I've reset my town(s) a few times now...

Yeah the worst is upgrading / unlocking the shops again.
Because it's so time consuming.
I mean in a way it's nice to watch everything grow again but it's also really a pain in the butt.

Good luck with your new town! ^^

I'd reset mine 'cause of rock placement, buuuuuuuuut I've had this town for years and only JUST got the emporium recently. So... I'm keeping it. :P

I totally agree! I'm not time-traveling either, for the same reason. I obviously have nothing against people who do TT, I just found that it feels a lot more rewarding (and less stressful, imo) to just be patient and play through how it's supposed to be done.

At first I thought I'd feel bad about leaving my things behind, but now I'm glad I did. I get to feel that same excitement that I did when I first bought my cartridge :)

wow, those are really good starters! Ankha and Kabuki are two of my all-time favorites. you got really lucky!

also a space/apocalypse theme sounds really cool! I don't think I've ever seen a town like that before, so I'd like to pay you a dream visit when it's finished c:
