mmmm ok so im thinking like a plot where frisk knows that originally world wasn't like [japan] and although they were planning to genocide that reset, they were curious as to why it went like this. flowey knows exactly what happened and its revealed that the reason the universe changes every time frisk resets is because it depends on frisks mindset at the time of reset, hence why you sometimes get completely "off" resets like outertale and underfell. sans knows it isnt right, and gets nightmares about the other timelines, but in the end frisk remains in the nihon timeline
