Anyone find it just a bit weird to see fruits growing on trees during the winter season?

I wish they would make fruits seasonal and add vegetables to the items you can harvest. Their are all sorts of vegetables that can be harvested throughout the winter.

I dunno I find it weird looking at all the snow and then seeing perfect red apples growing on the trees.

It's may not be realistic, but it is something that's been in the series since the beginning. So it didn't look weird to me, but I can understand how it may look to someone new to the series. Harvest Moon is a bit more realistic in terms of having different fruits/veggies in each season, but I don't know if that would work with the way Animal Crossing is set up (with each town having its own native fruit, etc.).

I mean, it's a video game, they are never really that realistic, especially if we are talking about Animal
Crossing. So seeing fruits in winter isn't weird for me at all, since this was a thing in the previous games
too. Also, I think those were just regular apples and no perfect ones, the regular ones just looking more
detailed now.

Random thought but if cooking was a thing, it’d be interesting to be able to cook certain recipes only in specific seasons.

I have never really paid that much attention to that detail tbh. I think the idea is that making bells is always accessible. In the end it's not reality and therefore the game isn't always going to be super realistic. I like it like that though, thats what gives it a sense of escapism and cute fun. I get why it may bother some people though.

If fruits become only seasonal I think it might be too different from what we know and become more like a farming simulation perhaps? I mean even the wood and hardwood gathering is kinda stardew-esque. I don’t really mind the fruits in winter but I’m just used to that from past games so it doesn’t bother me ;p

It's odd, yes, but considering they stick with the 1 native fruit per town each game, there's no real way around it that wouldn't drastically impede a new player's ability to make Bells in winter. Early in the game, fruits are a source that's best not to ignore.

No, I don't think it's weird. It's always been like that in past previous games, and it's always a great source of income and without it especially in the Winter, people would have a hard time making bells. Some people even start in the Winter, so it really helps them, like people who get the game for Christmas. So yeah, it's not weird to me at all.

Winter has always been my least favorite holiday in AC, it’s so drab and lifeless. So, I appreciate the splash of colors from the fruits/flowers.

I was just thinking that too a few days ago. It would be pretty fun to acually be able to do stuff with fruit besides sel, plant or give it to vilagers.
