Weird Moving Villager Glitch..?

Hello Bell Tree,

I came here in hope of finding some kind of explanation or answers regarding something odd. I have no idea how it happened... I traded a villager named Stinky on Reddit's AdoptMyVillager. The trade went fine and I sent her home via ending the session afterwards, but, I noticed there was smoke still coming out of Stinky's house when it should be empty and say "Moved Out"...I went inside to check and sure enough he was still there in boxes. I asked the person if she was sure she got him and she told me that she TT'd to the next day and he already has a plot down in her town... What is going on? how is he still in my town? I'm left feeling confused..nothing like this has ever happened before and I've never used any kind of duplication trick or anything like that. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Have you tried TT forward a day? Maybe he's gone if you do that. Could be an unharming glitch.

I just did and his house is gone now. I'm still curious about how this could have happened, it was weird and kind of freaked me out a little, I thought maybe I broke something or did something to cause it. lol
