Weird issue with custom paths?

So I was making a rug design for my outdoor "restaurant", noticed this issue... Why do solid color designs connect over the wood and most importantly remove the wood texture???, while the left and right designs do not? The only difference is the edges. Anyone know what causes this/how to fix it?

I had the same problem. I had custom stones placed over the light and dark dirt paths and they don't have the same color because of the transparency.
 
When you have transparent pixels in your design, you can round it out like regular paths and stuff. A downside is something like this where it takes the shape of the path instead of plopping the whole thing down. Does the same thing happen if you just put it down regularly with your designer app?

Edit: I'm pretty you can't remove the texture from underneath since it's the "path" :(

Interesting, didn't know about the rounding out stuff. But unfortunately, designer app doesn't change anything. I'm more concerned with the solid color, because it completely removes the texture. I had to change the design from being a simple 3-piece design, left right & center... to being 6. Left, top left, right, top right, top, and bottom, so that every piece has transparency

This is too much, I want to just be able to place a small rug down but the game refuses to let us place them outdoors :(
