weird error...

I'm trying to help this girl out so i open my town up and theres no problem and she sees the town on her screen however when she tries to visit the resetti screen comes up and say 'an error has occurred' and theres no code or anything and her town doesn't resetti it just stays the same. The same thing happens when i try and visit her.
I haven't tried visiting anyone else but I'm scared that no one can visit now
Does anyone know how to fix this or how it happened?

That usually happens when Nintendo is doing server maintenance. It's frustrating but it should resolve itself soon! This has happened to my friend and I a couple times

Sometimes, at least prior to the update, it'd seem like two people'd just be incompatible because of their internet? Maybe both try resetting your routers?

I'd also have you both try to visit/allow other people over, because it might just be an issue with you two in particular.

This happened to me this morning when I tried to visit my brother. We both got the resetti Error screen. Guess it means that Nintendo might be doing server repair. Whatever. Probably fix it itself soon...

After five or more successful trades they could suddenly not visit my town without a Resetii error without an error code being given. To this point it still has not started working again. At other times I have struggled with the same thing happening with both visiting and receiving guests but it occasionally fixes itself but the first issue persists.

I googled around and found a few different suggestions. One was to enter the connection settings manually (I think) using the command prompt to find the dns gateway and subnet mask and setting an IP address instead of using a changing one (since multiple people use multiple devices connected to the internet in my house like most peoples') and that fixed it for one go and then it didn't work again afterwards.

I tried again today and it fixed itself so I assume that it's a different thing for everyone...

I've had this happen a few times, as well. I know it can arise if there's an incompatibility issue. But, another thing could be server strength and congestion, from what I've heard. When it happens to me, it corrects itself pretty quickly. And, it doesn't happen all that often.
