Weird Birthday Bug

Hey y'all. I was an idiot and didn't take a screenshot, but earlier this week KK visited my island (It was August 21st maybe? I guess that's last week but anyway-). And I was like, okay, weird it's not a Saturday. I approached him and he claimed it was August 10th, the birthday of my alt character, and asked me to go find said character so he could sing the birthday song to him. It was so weird?? I had done no time traveling, and the date was clearly NOT August 10th. Has anyone had this happen? Had KK come on a day claiming it was a character's birthday when it clearly wasn't??

I did log into that alt character and have him approach KK. KK was like, "Oh, back for another song?" Which was also weird because I hadn't talked to him on that alt character previously that day. I dunno, it was super weird.

Anyone experience anything similar? No villager acted like it was my alt's birthday. KK was just there. I dunno, maybe he's getting senile- How old is he anyway? Do we know?

Did you achieve any milestones with your secondary character? Like upgrading their house or something? Maybe the game delays a character's birthday if when they were just starting. Just a thought, it's probably not true.

not like this but kk once asked me to write a letter for my second character's upcoming birthday, which already happened 2 weeks ago
and he did so for the next few weeks! i forgot how i made it stop. i think i just played with my second character and he attended a concert

Yeah, he asked me about writing a letter too! Which I had already done, several weeks ago, like you! I hope he doesn't ask about it every single time he shows up.

No, no milestones! But the last time I had played the game was on the secondary character's actual birthday. I wonder if it just.. Bugged out because the last time I'd played was on the birthday? I dunno!

That happened to me too. He kept asking for weeks after her birthday and it finally stopped after I agreed to write the letter.

this happened to a lot of people during the june update (iirc) i made a thread about it and i learned it happened to other people as well.
i actually forgot how it stopped, i probably wrote the letter just for the sake of it? lol i don't remember. but i do remember that there was really no birthday repeat that happened as kk claims. it's a harmless bug, but it's just weird glitch.

oh don't worry about that. it's an old topic so i'm sure if it happens to someone they would just start a new thread.
if anything i thought nintendo would have fixed this glitch already

That's crazy weird. I was thinking the title meant you would find a bug that you can't get any other day of the year and I was liek broooo


I have 2 siblings that have tents but never play, they had birthdays earlier this month and KK Didn't show up tho isabelle did announce it. kinda weird eh
