Weeding day

Weeding day is in April, but what exactly do I need to do to obtain the 3 projects and all flower furnitures? Should I start saving weeds already?
And can I obtain the projects/furniture in someone else's town?

For the PWPs, you just need to not have any weeds the day of the event. If you/re good about pulling weeds when you see them, it won't be a problem. You can go to other towns and get furniture, but some pieces can only be obtained by pulling weeds in your own town, so you have to decide what you would rather have :/

I have beautiful town and it makes weeds appear less often, but it does not prevent weeds entirely.
