Weeding Day or Weeding Mini Game?

Thanks to speed cycling... I probably have around 500 or more weeds in my town...

So... Once I get done going through cycling and get to a stopping point, should I...
1. Just do the Weeding Mini Game ((that I already hold events for)) and let 2/3 people come over to pull all the weeds and they get the weeding day items?
OR
2. TT to Weeding Day and allow lots of people to come over to pull just enough to get the weeding day item and have them leave afterwards?


I am kinda worried that if I do #2 it will take too long... and people will just keep pulling to get the badge rather than just enough to get the item and not save enough weeds for other people to get the weeding day items...

So... Opinions?

I guess for #2 you would need to trust that ppl don't abuse it and pull a bunch of weeds, so while #1 would be less hasslesome, #2 would be more fair in that it would potentially allow more ppl to get the items?? not sure which one would be the better choice though, both have their merits and downsides;;; (personally I would try for #2!! if it doesn't work out you could always just do #1 in the future )

I do a lot of Weeding Days & I know you'll regret the second option lol. Unless you're up for a challenge. Just having a few people come over & pick all the weeds will run a lot smoother. Then again my internet sucks, so I can't even have 3 people over. It's up to you c:

I have pretty good internet... So I would only have to worry if they don't have good internet. XP

Weeding day happens once a year where yourself and others come over to pull weeds. Visitors must pull at least 30 weeds to get an item. It isn't timed and can take as long as you want and can have many groups of people coming and going to pull the weeds and get the item.

Weeding Mini Game can happen any time you have over 50 weeds in your town. Leif will randomly appear in town pretty close to your home. It can generally be played with only the host and 3 other people who are in the town since it is timed... making it pretty impossible to have more than 1 group for 1 mini game. All weeds ((or at least almost all weeds. I have heard if you have 1 to 5 he will let you slide, but I can't confirm or deny because we always get all weeds.)) have to be pulled before anyone can get their prized item. Anyone in the event has to pull at least 1 weed ((I say 5 to be safe)) to be able to get an item.
