weeding day help??

so my town is completely clean - no weeds, no wilty flowers, nothing...

and Leif won't give me the topiary PWPs. he keeps giving me the Town Cleanup Prize furniture when i talk to him with my mayor.

is something going wrong here? i just want the topiaries.

I think you had to have no weeds before the start of the day when you first talk to him. Not sure though.

Apparently Leif is sneaky. A lot of people can't recall him mentioning the PWPs, but when they go to check, they're in Isabelle's list.
