I love the stalk market. I think it’s so awesome and clever. But what keeps me from doing it anymore is storing all of these freaking turnips in either my house or a random area on my island. We should be able to deposit it somewhere or at least put it in our storage, and then be able to take it back out whenever.

I remember there was a locker in the Train Station in New Leaf that let you do just that.

That needs to return to solve the solution to the turnip fiasco. Also a better place to store your already learnt DIYs besides the recycling bin.

The DIY's should be stored in the Bookshelf furniture item! :) So it doesn't take up space in the regular storage!

Or more likely as a new item that you could get as a DIY by collecting so many DIYs you already learnt. Your player could learn this itself by doing the mentioned method. (Disclaimer! Not a real item, just an idea. Don't try it, you'll just waste your time.)

That's a good idea! I was just thinking of items that exist that can be used as storage furniture. But I'm all for a new specially made item! Please Nintendo! My HHA score is suffering from all the DIYs on the floor!

After a certain point, turnips become too invonvenient to bother with.

Once you've decorated all the rooms in your house and finished designing your island, there's nowhere to put them, unless you leave a specific space just for turnip storage.

Given that there's not much to spend money on beyond a certain point either, they become pretty pointless.

I don't need the money any more but I get turnips anyway because I enjoy it but not nearly as many as when I was trying to pay off my mortgage. In those days my house was full up and I longed to put some into storage, even now I would prefer it that way rather than them clogging up space in my house.

Honestly, I would love:
- a turnip basket for turnip storage
- a shed for material storage
- a critter storage for bugs and fish similar to the tourney

Then the house storage are for the rest.

Out of all the new features this game offers, I'm surprised over the fact that they didn't included a proper storage for turnips. Then again, I also wonder why you can't put your DIY recipes into your storage but living beings like fishes and bugs are allowed, so who knows what kind of logic behind this is. Perhaps one day, they will realize this issue and offer a update to storage everything you want.

They would need to change the storage interface first. In NL the stylus and smaller system made it quick and easier to drag and drop. But in NH it would be a nightmare to select and store/take out 40+ turnip stacks one by one every time. It's already annoying there's no "sell all" option at Nook's. But they barely made any QOL adjustments so far so I don't see them changing the storage ever.

Before the game came out I hoped that we'd see some furniture items with actual functionality... It would be nice to have some kind of kitchen storage for turnips or other fruits/foods! I'm surprised there isn't some kind of turnip storage this far into the series since the stalk market has been a big part of the games. I've also wanted other types of furniture functionality like a computer at home for checking mail or like someone mentioned, a bookshelf to store DIYs (ok I know they are like "app cards" or something but still). I still kinda wish for some kind of turnip/food storage that's separate from our actual storage if farming/cooking comes.

Yep also the DIY and lost items. I don’t know why they allows us some items to be stored and others not. In new leaf pretty much all items were storable. Now my town is pretty clutter because of this. I’ll never reach a good town rating with my millions of diy scattered throughout my beaches.

I'm a firm believer that the silos that we can craft should be used as storage units for fruits, turnips, and any other food that could be added to the game. It would be such a cute way to store them too! In any case, at least give us a turnip shed or something. The DIYs need a home too. I know you can put them in the recycle bin but still!

Storing turnips would be nice. Coming from someone who buys 20M every week and has turnips scattered all over the island. I've just gotten used to it though, so it really doesn't bother me. On the other hand, storing DIYs would be cool. But since we can't, I don't sell them online.

Yeah, I've been using my cellar just to store 6000 turnips each week. Now that I'm done with turnips (got the last Nook Miles last week) I can finally start messing about down there.

I only bought a handful of turnips last week and it's already a bit of a hassle finding a spot to dump them. I don't find any good reason why it's not an option when it's not a problem at all in the previous games at least.

Never been a problem for me. I just empty my inventory, purchase all the turnips I can buy, go to the stalk market, find someone who’s selling for a lot, profit, put bells in my ABD, and pick up my inventory. Then again, I don’t really buy turnips a lot.
