Ways to prevent villagers from wearing those ugly shirt designs on display. ;-;

Can anyone give me ways so that villagers don't wear those ugly shirt designs displayed at the able sisters? *im looking at you DUCK SHIRT*


It's a plague, Chrissy caught. I don't want Diana (who's currently in her original shirt) catching it. My other villagers have already caught the orange sweater plague. ;-;


Is there any ways to prevent them from using those designs?!
I know I could design my own and display them but I'm horrible at designing, and I wouldn't want any of my villagers wearing my hideous designs LOL. Is there any other ways?

Choose to display umbrellas or dresses instead of the shirts!
Unfortunately that's the only way you can stop them from using the shirt designs.
And it doesn't matter what they look like because villagers will never use them!

Are you sure villagers can't wear dresses?
I read before that the only thing they won't use/wear are umbrellas.

I personally display my own shirt designs there because I feel good each time they tell me I have a bright future in fashion... haha

Just change whatever is in Able custom stand to umbrella~ I have all plain white umbrella display xD and to prevent them from spreading their clothes to be uniform! just send them 3-4 shirt you wish they wear, to whom you want to change and they will stay that for a looooooooong loooooooooong time until history repeat itself.

I always send 6 letters, because sometimes it doesn't work with 5

You can also complain to Isabel that the villagers "clothes are wrong" and they'll change back into whatever they were wearing previously. This only works with the displayed designs though, not "normal" clothing, unfortunately.

They don't change back in what they were previousley wearing, at least not in my town ._. They will wear something mainly white with a few stripes at the sides, it's quite ugly

Thanks, this was really helpful for characters wearin weird designs. Is there a way to get the, to not copy what other villagers are wearing? Currently Syitches is wearing Marhsal's jacket.
