Wasp nest in every tree?

I get 5 each and every day.. I shake my trees until I get all 5 and both furniture items then I sop shaking them and start harvesting the wood...

Is this only in your island? I've gone without wasps on my island for 2 days in a row... but I'll have them spawn on mystery islands.

I think 5 wasps and 2 furniture items a day are the normal for most people... Yes they do spawn on mystery islands. You also get 1 furniture piece from mystery islands as well.

Oh wow that is insane. I have a lot of trees in my "forest" area but I only get 8-ish wasps a day max if i do it all in one go (and usually two items on those days too =3.) You getting that many every day is strange...
I didn't notice if you said in a before post, but do you TT? I have heard of other odd things happening when people TT (birthday presents not on your birthday, NPCs never spawning {even checking every day for a month+}, not getting items you are suppose to on their days, etc.) but not something like this being a side effect.

Maybe I'm not checking all my trees close enough, I haven't done anything to rearrange them to make them more manageable. I might just be skipping them or shaking the same three twice

I don't know how this is possible. If it's happening, it might be a bug (haha, bug). Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the way trees work is; 5 are guaranteed wasps, 10 are 100 bell coins, and 2 are furniture. Every other tree after that should be sticks and whatnot. So if you have less than 17 trees on your island, it's a random mix of those.

EDIT: I would like to add that I think that is if you are shaking them. I don't believe furniture or bells fall if you use an axe.

I get more than 10 coins. I think I got 15 the last time I counted? But yeah, 5 wasps and 2 furniture is right.

Shake all the trees you plan to axe with a net first. Position your character 45° southeast of the tree while hold a net. When you shake the tree and a wasp falls out you will be positioned perfectly to catch it.

Yep, you get one wasp per mystery island. It’s always a relief when I find it because then I can just shake the rest for the furniture without my net

tangentially related, but i thought wasps only spawn in 2 trees? and i feel like i've had days of 3-4 wasps, so maybe we're having the same problem!

4 years later and i’m having the same issue, i’m so tired from running all the way to a building and back i might collapse
