Lately Canons been putting amazing HD video modes into their digital SLRs and they've become popular for shooting commercials and other TV shows, because of the quality and ability to produce literally no grain in low light situations. I'm also interested in photography but not as much as video stuff. This camera will be for college, which I'll be needing both a video camera and still image camera for, so I figured hey, I enjoy both, and this camera does both amazingly well. So yeah, been dreaming of it for awhile now, got to try it out a few times and it was amazing. <3

Nope. i have a broken camera so i haven't done anything for a long time, I'm actually asking for a small 12 MP camera for my birthday as a temp till I get my 7D. It also shoots HD video, just not as well as a 7D or anything. But yeah, I plan on making a video with it, called Global Warming, and It'll also involve photography, so I may make a deviant art sometime then.

You don't really need a 2000 dollar DSLR for stop motion.... a small 200 dollar 12 MP digital camera will do you just fine.

A 2000 dollar digital SLR wont change whether or not the program works. the pictures are still the same format so it doesn't matter which camera you use.
