to me it was really hard to find one, plus I am giving the winners an Eevee evolved into any of the eeveevolutions~ that takes time and effort to evove an Eevee, so it saves time for them.

Actually, eevee is fairly rare. Though I just like eevee and its evos because they're cute. Afterall, my favorite pokemon is glaceon. Pretty sure the hype is just because eevees are cute little foxes with lots of possibilities for evolution type; as it can be evolved to fill almost any roll in your team.

Eevees are not rare thanks to Friend Safari. A few minutes of searching on places like Reddit should net you an Eevee safari.

I really didn't care if it was rare or not. I'm just happy I didn't have to catch it and evolve it on my own. All I had to do was trade a Pokemon I already have.
