so I know this is probably a super dumb question but I just recently got some custom shelving designs and I was wondering if theres any way to place designs on walls without having spaces between them??

Put the design on a simple panel maybe? :]
If it's vertical and a repeating design, simple panels may work. If it's vertical and two different designs, two record boxes might work.
It's it's horizontal, nothing comes to mind that would not have a gap in between unfortunately.
