Hi,

I know that every villager can be invited via its amiibo card, but I also wanted to ask, whether it is possible for the WA villagers to move in by themselves.
Otherwise I guess I have to get some of those cards...
Already thank you for your answers. :)

It is possible to adopt RV villagers from other towns! (well, except Sanrio, Splatoon and Monter Hunter villagers, these you cannot adopt) In order to do so the owner of the card will have to scan the RV in, ask the villager to move into their own towns, time travel to when their house is built, and then force them in boxes by scanning in another card. Then you'll be able to visit their town and invite in said villager. :)

Mmm, you can adopt Sanrio RV villagers the same way as other RV villagers. I asked Etoile to move in before.

Thank you, guys.
That was very helpful!
I have not that much experience with this trading thing.
Does this mean, I can visit a town with Dobie in it, and if he is in boxes, I can invite him?

That's right, as long as the town owner did that process in order to get him in boxes, you can get him! :)
