Visiting other islands

Hi I have never visited any other islands apart from the mystery islands. I have always been nervous about inviting and visiting someone I dont know. But I'd like to try it, how do i go about visiting another island or letting someone in?

You just have to talk to Orville in the airport and choose the corresponding options. If you're not letting in someone that you're friends with you can opt to open your island via a Dodo Code; you can do this by selecting 'I want visitors.' and then 'online play' if you're playing with someone not in your vicinity. After you've connected to the internet you can choose 'Invite via Dodo Code' -> 'The more the merrier' and Orville will provide you with a Dodo Code you can hand out to people.

If instead you would like to play with people you have already exchanged friend codes with, you can just choose 'All my friends' and they will be able to visit you! The same goes for when you want to visit someone, you can either visit them via Dodo Code or through the game searching for any of the people you have exchanged friend codes that have already opened their gate.

Go to the airport and talk to Orville. He will give you a "Dodo Code" to invite other players or ask you to input a Dodo Code that you received from someone else. Dodo Codes look something like this: JX4RY, 1TV58, P7WM3, etc.


If they are friends on your switch you can simply open your gate or ask to visit a friend.

Thanks guys I will give it a go., unfortunately I don’t know anyone who play AC so I’m hoping someone will stumble across my island and visit me. It would also be nice to visit someone else. i would like to spread my wings so to speak.

You could also use the boards on here, there's a board for players who just want people to come to their town and visit shops and things
