Visit from the old mayor

hi guys! I have a little question/problem, I was hoping someone could help me with. I recently started a new town and have been time traveling to get my 10 dreamies ASAP before slowing down and playing normally without time travel. I've always returned to the correct date, and only time traveled far enough to get someone to move out (never more than 10 days ahead). I've reached a point where time travel is no longer necessary for me and have been playing and progressing through the game at the natural pace for a few days now.

Despite all of my time traveling and the few days I've played normally, the old mayor has not yet come to visit me in order to open up access to the island. I got the public work permit and just payed off my first home loan today. I always thought he came to visit after a few days, but is there some other requirement instead?

I think he visits after you pay the loan... maybe tomorrow? because he visited me second day when I hadn't even started on the permit lol

Aha, so it's paying off the loan that determines when he visits. Thank you! In that case, yes, I should be getting a visit from him in the next day or so. I was worried that my time traveling might have messed something up somehow. I'm really relieved to hear this

Yeah, to open up the island you have to pay off your first loan. Then I think the next day Isabelle will introduce you when you log in Have fun with your new town!
