Virus item?

So I remember in CF, there was that mask that was kind of like a virus item. Is there something like that in New Leaf? I've been plagued by the beige knit shirt. It shows up in retail, animals wear it and have one or two in their house. Animals even give or trade them to me. And Erik, he just moved in less than a week ago, and is already wearing it. I know animals can obsessively wear and have clothing, but this seems excessive.

I'm sorry, you're just unlucky :/ But no, there aren't any "DLC Virus" items like the jester mask or falcon helmet anymore. Maybe if someone actually accesses the source code to the 3ds and makes an open source software for people to use/mess with, then maybe. I don't even remember getting the mask until I homebrewed my Wii, so I'm sure that was the correlation.

Not that I'm aware of, though a lot of people report a similar conundrum with a different item. Some of note being toilets and my personal favorite, the pachira.

Hmm, maybe I'll keep a couple good looking shirts on hand in case they want to trade. I don't want to send them shirts and fill their houses. Man, why couldn't they have chosen something cute.

Red-grid tee in my town... it's so ugly. I think I have managed to get rid of most of them now at least by sending new shirts and buying them from villagers' homes.

I don't know... some items are in my nooklings shop ALMOST EVERY DAY.
It's so annoying. I think I've had the imperial tiles floor in the shop every day or almost since the begining, lol.

Well, not really virus but the Tut's Mask makes you unlucky but other than that, no. But yeah, I get weird clothes everyday that I will never buy haha
