Was wondering if someone thought a villager looked good in a picture on the Internet, but didn't like them in game, or vice versa. I'm currently having this problem... I spent a ton of TBT on Whitney and Rudy who look so cute in pictures, but I'm starting to regret getting them. Whitney just looks... I don't know, she just looks annoyed all the time to me, and Rudy is starting to remind me of a clown, which is the source of all my nightmares. I know a lot of people would say to not judge on their looks, but considering everyone in their personality acts the same way except for MAYBE a slight difference, I'd rather have someone who I think looks nice.

This happened for me with Bob and the opposite with Punchy. I thought Bob was cool but when I met him in a dream town, he seems kinda weird. I didn't like how Punchy looked at first, but when I saw him in my campsite his eyes and smile were just too adorable to not want him.

Beau. I wanted him so much because I thought he was so adorable and cute but when I finally had him in town he was just too boring for me to keep.
I agree with you about Marcel. His pictures are terrible but in game he looks awesome.
And I think Bluebear looks good in pictures but not in the game.

Agreed, I had Whitney in my first town and she always looked so angry & constantly made my villagers sad. Her appearance in the movie is much more likable.
Julian is another one. He looked awesome in pictures but when I had him in town, he was very underwhelming. I had no issue letting him go tbh.

Another villager that looks good in pictures but not really in person is Tutu. I don't really like the bear villagers, but after seeing Tutu's character art I thought she looked adorable. However, seeing her in game is much different to her character art tbh. The bears look more scary in game because of how much they tower over the mayor or any other human characters in town. It looks like they could easily take anyone out, no matter how friendly they are to the player. So bear villagers scare me a little bit even though she looks like one of the cutest to me. But just not in game.
Beau for me. I was originally going to get him as one of my dreamies because I found him adorable in the pictures, but in the game, he really doesn't look all that great. Compared to many other villagers, I just found him rather bland.

I had wanted henry sooo bad because he used to be in my first town, but he left abruptly and i never got the chance to experience him, so with my second town, i sought out to get him and when i did, i just wasnt totally impressed, hes adorable and everything but jes just boring and bland and too plain to me :/ hes still super cute and i love designing his house in hhd
