Villagers you love with houses you hate

Bob. He lives in what looks like a kid's bedroom. I get that's always been his aesthetic but I really don't like how it looks. The exterior is bad too.

I like Gaston, but his house interior looks like it was abandoned, used for various illegal activities, then abandoned again. Seriously Gaston, you could have any house in the world and you chose that?

Chief. But his interior is, well, he looks like an artist with those grafitti on the walls but I don't like the fact that he lives outside the streets.

See, I have the opposite situation- Lucky isn't my favorite villager but I LOVE his interior In fact, I have that situation more often than the other way around. Though, I have to admit Graham's interior was a disappointment. It just felt so dull, though I guess it fit him. I also was looking at lazy villagers earlier and Bones is so cute... but I feel like his interior got mixed up with someone else's because it doesn't fit him AT ALL Cleo's house was also just TOTALLY unexpected.

i love dobie a lot. he is my favorite cranky. close to my favorite wolf. just a great villager altogether. but can someone PLEASE tell me why his house looks like a heap of scrap metal??

I was confused about Bones’ house too! I’ve heard him say several times he only likes picture books lol. I also don’t like how one of his book cases blocks view of half the room including the crafting table.

I have been thinking about who decided to give Sally and Fauna the exact same house exterior. I have both of them on my island, and it just looks bad/not original at all.

Also, I don't really like O'Hare's house. Love his design, and while his interior works with it, I still think it is ugly.

I actually love Eunice house though. I think it's hilarious but it really not a "home". It's like Gala and her bank house because it's a piggy bank.
I honestly just love the puns and cleverness of it. It's better than having a copy paste of the rattan houses of different colors.

I used to hate Tabby's interior, but ever since I gave her a few potted plants and a fish, I kind of like it. Still not a fan of the center piece toilet, but at least it's a home in which Tabby's personality shines through.
Chops' and Olaf's interiors are very bland. I get that they are supposed to be fancy, but they look unfinished to me. A few little accents could really make a difference. As is, it's very underwhelming.

As of villagers I don't have, I've always liked Ankha a lot. Her design, the concept behind it, her little frowny face ... Plus, the inside of her home fits her really well. The exterior though - I just find the color atrocious and I will most likely never get Ankha because of it. It's probably the worst exterior I've seen.

...............Gabi's. Like I love her, so I give her house the benefit of the doubt anyway, and I think I'm going to make it work by thinking of it as some sort of community building with a bathroom and kitchen, because not many of my other villagers have those. But no bed? And I can just handle the Orange Retro Flooring but the Beaded-Curtain wall... I wish her house was more like the one she had in WW or CF, even though she never lived in my town then.

Furthermore, a lot of houses of cranky villagers - the ones that just look like backalleys or garbage dumps. With a few it's kind of nice, for example I like the conman idea that Chief's house suggests, but honestly I'd have rather seen him in an old-fashioned living room or something.

Erik‘s house was perfect in NL, but they basically gave him Puck’s house here.

Yes!! Erik's house in NL was so cute, all the wood and the furniture matches his character and his design so well! I loved being in his house in New Leaf and lingering there to talk to him or do other things. His house now is still pretty interesting, but this full-on winter and ice theme, with all its white, just doesn't fit him nearly as well. I miss the cosyness of his old place.

Lolly's house is pretty cute but eh kinda boring ;/ I dont really like the flooring with her wallpaper.

I love Rolf and I love that he has a cohesive theme for his interior but the lack of big furniture in it makes it feel so... empty? I get the vibe it's going for given the camping gear and flooring/wallpaper but it just feels weird to walk into compared to all the other villager's living spaces.

Controversial maybe but I really hate Raymond's house! It's an office setup and I don't think the colors on the outside are very nice either. The exterior is simultaneously cream, black, multiple shades of brown, with a green door. It's the ugliest house on my island IMO!

Tom. What... what did they DO. He was my favorite in NL so I had to have him in NH and I just *frustrated screaming*. One of the reasons I fell in love with him was how his personality and house went together to create a unique 'view' or 'character'. He went from two generations of a zen house to some car garage???

Pierce was a pretty cool villager, but I had to ditch him because his exterior was pretty bad.
