Villagers visiting your home.

I love it when my villagers want to tour my house, but sometimes they won't follow me into rooms when I want them to follow. They tell me they wanna see my whole house, yet they don't come into certain rooms with me has this happened to anyone? Any reason why they won't follow?

This happens to me sometimes, or they just stand in the door way making it difficult for me to leave. Wish I knew the cause.

I rarely go as far as showing them the other rooms. Once they are inside for 10 seconds I leave my home. I don't think it matters how long they stay inside, although some find that debatable.

I had this happen once with marshal... He followed me into every single room except one, and he wouldn't go in no matter how many times I left that room and reentered! So frustrating...

I'm guessing its just due to a glitch in the game? I could be wrong though..

I find they won't follow you, if they just knock on your door, unexpectedly.

Every villager that has asked to go to my house right away, or later on at a predetermined time, follow me around from room to room.

I have tried to find a pattern for this...and have found mostly the villagers that turn up whilst your in your house won't follow you around, but villagers that ask to visit and follow you to your house will visit other rooms with you. Not sure if this is right...just from experience and I don't pay much attention to their visits anyway, as they leave after around 30 seconds xD

only scheduled visitors (visitors you've said "yes, you can come now/later" to) can follow you

mine haven't been recently though… they used to…

yeah i thought only scheduled visitors followed you to every room. i never had an issue with them not following me into a room..

but unexpected visitors only stay in the first room as far as i know. and they leave after a couple minutes without asking to tour the rest of your house. i think >.<

Are we talking about them refusing to come with you into the room, and leaving when you try to enter another room, or are we talking about when they just stand in the doorway and just not coming all the way in?

Scheduled visits. On scheduled visits they won't follow me into 1 room or 2 rooms in some cases.

That happens often for me, so you're definitely not alone. I haven't been all that persistent in getting them to follow me, because I think they stay too long to begin with. Have to show them all the rooms if I want to get the visit over with.

Mostly that happens when they come on their own to me.. Like Rocco usually visits and he calls my name if I leave the main room or leaves. If I get to bring someone over though they usually want to see all the rooms so it depends :3
