Villagers using other’s catchphrases: how to fix it?

So I’ve only changed 1 catchphrase. I changed Cookie’s “arfer” to “arfie” bc idk it was random and still seemed like the original. Immediately, Filbert started using it, which I wasn’t too happy out but I didn’t rly care too much??
But now Wolfgang has replaced snarrrrl with “arfie” and I absolutely hate it... do i report him to Isabelle for the way he speaks and it’ll get changed back? Plz help I really can’t stand it OTL

Talk to Isabelle to change it back. But if you don't want catch phases to spread you need to report them all to bring them all back to their default. Afterwards, they'l probably ask you everyday for a catch phrase change until you say yes again

You need to talk to Isabelle. My villagers caught everyone else's catchphrase and in the end I needed to reset everyone's lines. They ask to change it pretty often, so it's kind of a pain.
