Villagers used to say more in Wild World

Huh, I never played Wild World, so I wouldn't know, but I do agree the dialogue is weak. I had 3 normals in my town at some point and I swear, they would say the same exact thing all in one day! Super lame. I think they did tone things down, even from City Folk. I remember the first time I saw Katie, she was crying her eyes out. I guess that was too traumatic for kids or something? I like her now, but... something about a crying kitten is so much more interesting to me. Makes you want to help her out by finding her mom. (I know it's off topic, but is her mom even part of NL now?)

I actually think they talk a lot more in this game as opposed to City Folk. Maybe not Wild World, but I know City Folk would drive me crazy because the villagers would say the exact same thing over and over every time you talked to them until you left the area and came back. The pool of dialogue in this game is smaller, but at least they don't constantly repeat "HI I'VE JUST HAD A BUNCH OF CREAM PIE AND I'M FEELING KINDA BLOATED" ad nauseum.

I miss the old GCN chores. Maybe it's just me, but I loved running around and having villagers tell me "whoops I gave it so and so". I think it was more fun that way.

I miss some aspects of GCN too. You would also get better items when you had to go all over the place looking. I mentioned the other day somewhere I missed the "I'M SO BORED BRING ME A BALL!" Task.

Although the dialogue could use more additions, I actually think the snooties and the crankies in this game are fine. If we want the older and meaner version of them to appear, make them only for some villagers(not all), creating 'subtypes' for them.

My main beef is how people think this game is more oriented to the kids. This game include a night club along with some paintings and sculptures that's not really appealing to kids. Sure the club is pretty mild but ehh, it's still a club.
Probably I'm the only one who thinks of this though...
