Villagers trick you that they are moving????

I had a villager who I really do not like ping me.
So, I , being the amazing Mayor I am...

When he asked to move, I said... see ya....


AND THEN HE CHANGED HIS MIND????
He said he wasn't going to have me doing cartwheels in his absence!!!!
WHAT?????
WHY?????



WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN. I need answers you guys. WHY.
I felt betrayed.

There's a possibility that the "bye" option leads them to reconsider their choice and not leave. You just have to turn the power off and not speak to him or her, and then, if you want, you can TT to the day they told you they were moving on, and they'll be gone.

I hate it when they do that! If you haven't saved yet you can just turn your game off, and then completely avoid that villager when you go back on. Once the game chooses a mover they will still leave even if you ignore them when they ping.

That has happened to me when a villager I couldn't stand FINALLY told me she was gonna move, its' soo annoying!

The best thing to do is just turn off without saving. It's why the first thing I do when I go on the game is run in front of all the villagers. That way if anybody is moving and I have to quit without saving I don't lose any progress.
They can also always change their mind after they've agreed to leave too. So if one of the ones you don't like ever agrees to move do not talk to them again until their moving date. Not even if they ping you. Just run away and avoid

Lawl. That happened to me to-day too. The two villagers I do not want in my town both happen to be inconveniently placed right in front of the town hall and have both changed their minds about moving on me.

Best thing to do is save the game before initiating this dialogue.

This just happened to me with Chadder! He told me he wanted to leave on Friday and I was like "k peace", and so he felt he should stay so we could become 'better friends'. I turned off the game without saving and haven't talked to him since. Yesterday, Whitney told me that Chadder wants to leave (after all this went down) so I'm pretty much going to ignore that mouse until he's gone.
