Every once in a while, when you have an empty plot on your island a villager will move in that has moved out from another person's island that you've previously visited. Not always, but for example the last 3 villagers that moved into empty plots on my island 2 of them have been from someone else's island. I've found out that any villager that moves out from your island gets put into a queue, known as 'the void' and unless you play in airplane mode there is a chance that a villager in the void will be moving into that empty plot of land.
My sister has a theme for her island, I'd love to give her Lucky who is in boxes but she's been unLucky and has only had the thought bubble appear on villagers that she wants to keep
I'm hoping to toss Lucky into my void and hope she gets him at some point when she has an empty plot.
What I haven't been able to find information-wise is if anyone has ran any statistics on these void villagers. Do they shuffle in the queue? How high is the probability that there will be a void villager moving into some person's free housing plot? 100%? Is there a max amount of villagers in your void, like will super old ones just be replaced after x amount of villagers in the void?
If anyone could provide me with some more insight I've appreciate it
I'd like to give her a better shot at getting Lucky than with NMT
