Villagers on Main Street

I know that former villagers can appear on Main Street and just hang out there. But I've had four villagers move out as early as July or August and I've never seen them on Main Street. Anyone have any idea why? I'd love to see them again for a visit. ):

Actually I heard it has to do with the 16 villager cycling thing, so only the last 16th that moved out will appear there^^ maybe thats also the case why they can only move back to there after they disappeared from main as well

So you're saying that I need 12 more villagers to move out so I can start seeing the first villager that ever moved out of my town on Main Street?

That's doesn't really make sense since I'm pretty sure others have had villagers move out recently and they started appear on Main Street not too long afterwards.

There was Ribbot back in July, Rhonda and Beardo in August, and then Elvis just last month.

so far the villagers that i see on my main street are the ones that have gone into void
villagers that i gave to other people never appear on my main street, except for jeremiah, for such longggg time he never appeared but lately i saw him, i think that's maybe the owner had move him out
i gave away pietro to someone and he never appears on main street (i miss him so much x'D)
another theory why you never see them maybe because somehow other people got them through streetpass/spotpass

I see Katt on my Main Street and I let her move out (void) but she showed up in my other town. >_<

I gave away Julian and he is on my Main Street for the last few days. So ones you give away can appear. I actually miss him now!

This makes sense.

I gave away three of my villagers away to other players while only one went to the void. But it's been so long that someone probably picked Rhonda up through streetpass.

I think I started seeing my first move-out either the day before or the day that I got the Emporium, so it took a while.

I'm pretty sure that they start showing up after you've had five villagers move out, and it doesn't matter whether they were adopted or voided. So you should start seeing the first villager who moved out of your town once you have a fifth move out, and then the second once you've had a sixth etc. That's how it happened for me

Ah, that makes sense. I've had 6 moveouts, and so far Penelope (voided) and Boomer (adopted) has been visiting.
That means my next visitor will be Phil.

Ah, I see. If that is true, then once I let Axel move out (whenever he does), I'll start seeing Ribbot on Main Street!

Cool. Forever since I let a certain villager move out (I think it was Henry), I've had Elise (good riddance) walking around Main Street. Now I've moved Rodney out, and I'm seeing Shari instead.

Oh, awesome! Roald, Lionel, Big Top, and Claudia have left. Claudia left way back in August and I haven't seen her since. She's a hideous tiger, but she was MY hideous tiger xD

I think there is a certain number that have to have moved. I didn't get any until at least four (Nate, Wolfgang, Puddles and Tammi. Possibly Renee) had gone. I now get Nate and Tammi there. Tammi is always in GracieGrace. I had Wolfgang there until Ribbot moved recently.

Ok something strange happen.

I just saw my brother void villager on my main street, when talk to him he say he's here for a visit.
I thought only your own villagers will appear?

Hopefully he don't move in pls .......
