Villagers names you find most hard to pronounce?

muh-reng-gey
The trouble with this one is they didn't spell her name like the dessert so it kind of throws you off. :P

THANK YOU FOR CLEARING IT UP OH MY GOSH.

It does throw me off... I couldnt even pronounce the pastry itself ;v;

SOLEIL, ... Did someone say this already? It is SO-LAY
Ooops! Didn't mean to shout! Lol :blush:

I have Maelle and I feel like it's mi-Elle but I have no idea...

I've been calling her May-elle and she responds to the megaphone when I use it that way.

But then again... a lot of them respond even when I'm calling someone else.

Basically, it's not really the names that I have trouble with, but it's more the frustration that the game doesn't seem to be picking up on it no matter how clearly I speak. Calling for Beau gets me Fang or Diana or even Kid Cat, and vice-versa. It never even follows the same pattern. I think the mic system is just a little bit messed up in general. Hahaha.

I always have trouble saying Merengue's name. Mer-ang?? mer-eng-weh?? ;v; It's ironic since I love the pastry.

Where I'm from (Northeast in the USA), we would pronounce it Mer-rang. But it could differ based on where you're from or just your everyday dialect/the way you say things, too.

Beau. Be-you? Bay-you? :confused:

It's pronounced like "Bo". It's the french word for handsome/beautiful, the masculine term. (The feminine one is 'belle'.)

Phoebe. How do you say it, like "Phee-bee" or "Foe-bee?" :confused:

The correct pronunciation is like "Fee-bee/Phee-bee". That's a tricky one at first glance.

Deirdre , Octavian , Pekoe , Fuchsia , and Roald ;w;

ugh .

"Dare-drey/Deer-drey" (It can technically be pronounced either way. I knew two growing up and both pronounced different ways), "Ock-tay-vee-en", "Pey-koe", "Few-sha", and "Row-ald".

I'm not sure if you meant that they just frustrated you but you know how to pronounce them or whether you wanted a hand getting them properly or not. But just in case, I sounded them out for you.

Oh! Thank you, good to know. c:

You're welcome. : ) Glad to help.
