Okay, so I've been going on to my game everyday, but I only buy my daily fertilizers, saplings and bush starts, and I think I'm going a biiiiit paranoid.

Genji is sick in my town and all of my villagers that I talked to today have been telling me about this.
I just want to make sure no one in my town would be moving, so I've talked to all of them.
They keep on mentioning Genji's sickness and none of them say anything about (Villager) thinking of moving out, BUT I haven't got them to say any rumours*

*
By rumours, I meant the ones that Smugs say about them 'being related to (Villager) as a cousin' or Snooties saying '(Villager) is allergic to (food)'. Here is a list of the following examples
Cranky villagers will state that rumors can be frightening.
Jock villagers may ask to spread rumors about their latest world record, or complain that others say that they are a prince from another planet.
Normal villagers will comment that they will only spread rumors they have seen themselves.
Smug villagers may remark that they have done things with other villagers, but refuse to elaborate on the details.
Snooty villagers will use fabricated examples to show the player that simple rumors can spread very quickly.
Uchi villagers will complain that rumors are circulating that they are known for one sport, when it is in fact another

Is there any way to know if someone is going to move???
They've been giving me responses like 'Not a single cockroach in sight, thanks to your Beautiful Town Ordinance!', 'This weather calls for (food) later on', commenting on a PWP, 'having a dream about (Dream visitor) from (Town)', 'wanting to sing their previous town tune' and '(Villager 1) and (Villager 2's) relationships'.

So, these are the obstacles...
- Pete is in my town right now, so they gossip about him as well. Could I TT an hour or two forward/back to get rid of him?
- Genji's sickness. I know villagers can still move out when this is happening
- One of my other character's birthdays is coming up soon and they also talk about that
- I've spam-talked Marshal and Tammy and they never mentioned a villager rumour, or, those other rumours about other villagers
- There are no upcoming events, my villagers keep telling me this

I keep on hearing about this method where you can change your 3DS Clock in the Settings to one month ahead, load up your NL game and create a new character, then check on your map who's plot is gone. Then quit the game WITHOUT SAVING, change the 3DS clock in the Settings back to the original date, load up your game on an existing character, walk in front of the villager (whose plot was eradicated when you TT'ed the month ahead)m get them to ping and they will tells you about their plans to move??

I may be mistaken, but I just don't want to lose another one of my villagers :(
I lost Chrissy due to a similar experience of not talking a lot to my villagers and then when I loaded up my game, Isabelle told me Chrissy was going to be leaving on the next day.

Any tips, or are the villager's conversations enough to let me know if someone in the town is thinking of moving, even though they don't talk about any rumours of a villager moving, or a made up rumour??
Should I wait one more day? If I do, can I make a new character, check my town to see if anyone is in their house with boxes, and if there is, exit without saving, go to my 3DS game clock to rewind it one day back, and load up an existing character to see that they see are not in boxes so I can make them tell me?

By mentioning the villager rumours and the moving out rumours, I am referring to this thread, which is why I have a suspicion

Yes, I think you can use that method to check and then get pinged, but it doesn't guarantee that a few days later another villager won't want to move if you have 9/10 villagers.

I've used that method to get rid of villagers. Here's a guide to it: http://www.belltreeforums.com/showt...mies-and-not-lose-a-single-one-plus-get-weeds!! The basic is this: load up your game as your mayor, save and quit. TT forward using the 3DS clock. Create a new character, then when Porter gives you the map, check whose house is gone. That's the villager who will be moving out. Quit without saving (don't even bother putting up a house or going to talk to Isabelle or anything, just leave the station and quit). Travel back to the date you were in the last time you saved as your mayor. Then go talk to that character.

It's very important that there are no events coming up. I did it year by year and not month by month (so instead of TTing to next month I TTed to next year) since I didn't want to bother checking or interrupting if there were events coming up on that month.

If there are events coming up in your present time, I don't know how that affects notifications.

One thing I noticed using that method was that the villager who was going to move out didn't always ping me or tell me anything the first time (by "the first time", I mean when I loaded as the mayor again after TTing as a new character). What I would do then was talk to them at least 5 times. If they said nothing about it, I'd save and quit then reload (still as the mayor and without TTing), and when I walked past them they'd ping me. In short, if you know a villager is going to move and they haven't pinged you or told you in normal conversation, save and reload, talk to them again a few times if they don't ping you, save and reload if they say nothing about it, rinse and repeat.

Hope that helps. I'm close to getting all the villagers I want and I'm so worried about what I'm going to do once I have 10 villagers I don't want to move out.

You can just buy medicine and cure Genji's sickness... you'll need to save and quit after doing that for him to be out and about, though.

He started to be sick yesterday and I haven't bought him medicine for today.
I'll buy it for him right now though >~<

Thank you for your response, but my villagers are practically complaining about no events coming up whatsoever XP

Set your 3DS clock one month in advance and load your game on a NEW character. See if there's a house missing, if so that's who wants to move. If not no one wants to move. Set your 3DS back to the current date (1 month back) and voila, you'll know if anyone wanted to move and all you have to do is wait for their ping.

Trying this out right now with a year ahead

Okay, so no one's house is moved. Does that mean I am safe for the day? D:

Weird. I thought you'd always have a missing house. Check again, the last time I tried TTing forward to see who was moving, at one point I didn't notice a missing house and nearly lost a villager I want to keep at the moment.

If no houses have changed that probably does mean you're safe. How many villagers do you have right now?

Also, to add to what Titi said, sometimes as I said they won't ping you right away when you go back so you have to talk to them and if they still say nothing, save, reload, and see if they'll ping you then.

Are there any events planned for the week you TT'ed to?

By the way, when I TTed forward one year I did what that post said and made sure that the first date I TTed to was a Sunday. I have no idea if that makes a difference or not.

I have 10 villagers right now.
And my in game date is 11/07 2014, then I went up to 2015.
I've been going around, talking but still the same things.
Maybe no one's actually planning to leave?

There doesn't always have to be a missing house... I've done this trick countless times and when there's no missing house it just means no one wants to ping you to move on that day.

I guess you're right, after all, I'm not too sure if a villager in my town is actually planning to move!
I've done this a second time, still nothing.
Redd's tent showed up, but there were no Tourneys in 11/07.
I'll keep a future reference on this if I need

The no-missing house means nobody wants to ping you. Make sure there really are no events around that time, if there's anything going on nobody will ping you. If you want to be extra safe, you can always go up to 2015, start a random new villager, check the map, quit, then load on that date as your mayor, save and quit, then TT forward another year, start as a random new villager, check the map. If a house is missing then, quit without saving, TT back to 2015, load as your mayor, keep that animal from moving, then TT back to your current year. That counts as 1 day in game, so it means for another 2 days or so it's likely nobody will ping you after you turned that villager down from moving.
