villagers' interactions with PWPs

hi hi everyone!! so first off, I've got a question; can villagers sit on the picnic blanket PWP? because I haven't seen anyone but me sit on it yet haha ; m ; I'm fairly disappointed since I lost count on how many times I've had to do the diving trick for it;;

second, can villagers actually lie down on PWPs such as the camping cot? I'm pretty sure they can't, but hey I might be wrong.

Next, I don't want this to be all about my queries so if there's any villager-PWP interaction you'd like to share, then go on ahead!

I use the zen bench as it fits my town's zen theme. Still waiting to unlock the log bench though.

P.S. I had the picnic blanket pwp set up and I can't wait to see a villager sit on it!

yeah I've totally seen Merengue sitting on one of the benches. I'm always like "EEEEEEEE" when I see any of them sitting on something or using a PWP.

I've personally never seen a photo or in-game villagers sitting on the picnic blanket pwp, only benches. I demand proof.

I don't think anyone could go wrong with the white bench.

well today, as soon as i logged into the game, i saw a villager sit on the modern bench! so i thought, "if it takes time for the villagers to get used to the PWP and actually interact with it, why did someone sit on the modern bench first, when i built the picnic blanket beforehand?"

so maybe where you actually place the PWP affects the probability of them interacting with it?

For sure it does. I have a metal bench in a heavy traffic area, and they use it. My wooden bench is almost never used, and animals aren't usually near it. I've seen them on my log bench (semi-trafficked area) and none on the picnic blanket (near a house).

They can sit on PWPs, but I don't think they can lie down.

My favorite is the wood bench. I have a very natural town theme in mind and I love how these look. Especially right now with the cherry blossoms on the trees. <3

And yes, this seems to be true. I have two benches, one where I can always find a villager or two near Re-Tail, and the other right next to a beach entrance because I like the look of it there. I rarely ever have a villager near that part of the beach, and have yet to see a villager use the bench. I don't care though, I love where they are.

I think it helps if the PWP is kinda in an area that they normally walk through. Like Merengue was sitting (and sleeping) on a bench very close to her house.

Flora was sitting on a tree stump in her normal walk area, etc.

I love it when I see someone sitting on a tree stump.

Anchovy was sitting on the one outside his house and happily told me that a nice person had made this stump for him to sit on when he got tired from walking.
