So Tex and Mira was having a conversation and naturally I listened in.Tex was openly hitting on Mira, telling her she was sweeter than the sweetest moon cake (his words exactly) and called her an 'undiscovered gem just waiting to be polished'(again his words) Mira tells Tex he is in 'his own little delusional world'. Tex just laughed and said, 'you're even more beautiful when angry'. Then Mira storms off angrily. I didn't know villagers did stuff like this... Has this happen to anyone else?

Yeah! I think it's so adorable. Darn I forgot who it was, but she said sweet things like that to Tom and, like the cranky cat he is, got angry :b

I listened in on a convo btwn Zell and Fauna, he was trying to hang w her, and when she objected, he said he was trying to spend time w the "beautiful creatures of the world"

Hans did this to Chevre, and I thought it was the smoothest thing ever.

Yeah multiple times. Animals also like to spread rumors about other animals having a "thing" for each other.
Mine seem to like shipping Lucha and Rosie a lot. Also, back when I had Agent S, everyone commented on her and Kid Cat being an item (which I thought was totally adorable). Now they're all over Kid Cat and Kitty being a thing, which is adorable too because he sent her a gift through me and acted all shy about it. It's really cute, haha.

But yeah it is a Smug thing. I've caught Lucha hitting on quite a few of my ladies (myself included!) and he never gets a good response. Poor guy. At least he knows I appreciate him~

One time I saw Sly and Timbra kissing

Cherry appears to be shipping Kabuki and Pekoe, but she might be right. Pekoe adopted Kabuk's catchphrase and she's also sent Kabuk' a couple of presents. Not sure what's going on there, but I'm starting to think Cherry might be onto something.

Sprinkle and Fang used to be a thing before I let Sprinkle move, hahaha.

Tia and Drago might also be developing into a thing??? Or else that's just Erik being jealous that Tia gave Drago food. Dang lazies.

A cherry knows when it wants to be popped y'know~

Bad jokes aside, they'd make a pretty cute couple haha. Kid Cat nabbed Kitty's phrase while I was cycling so there's even more evidence of those two lovebirds xD

Omg I just died

But I don't really listen in on villager conversations for some reason. I think I need to start doing that more.

-Bows- I live to entertain

I actually try to listen in on their conversations, but it's always either

a) when I'm already in one and they friggen end it the legit second I end my own conversation
b) when I'm halfway through reeling in a freakin' fish
c) when I'm just far away enough that they complete their exchange before I can walk over
d) as I'm running away

I've caught very few of them. The best one I can remember was when Agent S was asking Lucha what she should change about herself to look like a super star, and I answered "but you already are one" and Lucha spilled all this heartfelt stuff about her being like his little sister and how he never wanted her to change, ever.

Sadly, I no longer have Agent S, but Rosie has filled the gap and I've seen a few interactions between the two. They have their fights, but my villagers always talk about how they're friends. I'd like to think Lucha's keeping an eye on her all the same~

I've also just caught a few weird convos about food and stuff. Funny stuff. It's sad that their timing seems to always be against you, because they really do add a little layer of depth that you can easily miss. I like seeing into my animals' spats and heartfelt moments. It just makes my town feel all the more special. I like feeling like my animals really have come together as a little family. It's just...idk it's super cute and immersive and one of my favorite parts of the game.
