• Limberg has a five o' clock shadow and is named after a stinky cheese, and is therefore a bad role model for children
• Jitters is addicted to some sort of stimulant, although it may just be caffeine
• Tiffany looks mature
• Harry has a beard and bushy eyebrows, and is therefore a bad role model for children
• Rodeo might cause a satanic panic

Yeah, I think this list is a bit silly. If they meant villagers that just seem more "grown up" then they missed a lot of villagers? Lazy villagers are the only ones who seem childlike to me, and maybe the Peppy Villagers too. A lot of the cranky ones come off as grandads to me once you start chatting with them, lol. Same with the smug personality (Raymond's house is literally an office lol), normal villagers & snooty ones too seem more "grown up". Sisterly & Jock types can go either way, imo. But at the end of the day they're all cute little villagers lol. Sure, some of them have facial hair which helps them look older (and apparently Beardo didn't even make the list?? He's like the first one that comes to my mind when I think of a villager who's an adult. An adult who wishes he was Sherlock, but an adult nonetheless lol).

Like others have said, this feels like they were grasping at straws looking for something to write. What an odd article.

I thought it was a fun cute article tbh, they dont mean adult looking villagers, but villagers made for adults to laugh about. Jitters does not seem like a villager made for kids lol so I agree. I'd argue Bob could be on that list because he looks absolutely faded all of the time and only talks about food. Too much criticism on this thread!!

Limburg having a 5 o'clock shadow, and Harry having bushy eyebrows and an "untamed" beard doesn't make them dirty. They're also cranky villagers, which are typically seen as much older adults in the series. It's why they have certain lines like, "Oh, I didn't know you were so-and-so. I need my glasses," "The cold makes my bones not ache," "My back hurts, I've been standing too long," etc. While those aren't verbatim, I've seen cranky villagers say phrases like that. I don't know how the rest fit into this except Tiffany. Snooty villagers are basically adults in the series as well. But that doesn't mean they're "adult", otherwise the game would be rated T.

I'd argue that most of these villagers are stretches except for Tiffany, who is most definitely a playboy bunny. Japan is known for being "weird" in this regard; take Bulma's playboy bunny outfit in Dragon Ball!

Tiffany is actually more so inspired off of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

i feel so bad for people with bushy eyebrows that don't pluck at them, because according to this article, they're "unkept and unclean." how does a five o'clock shadow instantly mean that you don't maintain good hygiene? ohmylord, some writers..

the comparisons to satanic stuff as well, like baphomet in relation to the goats / rodeo villager.. got me wincing out loud here.

the only villager i could maybe see remotely being more "adult" themed would be tiffany, but not for her looking like she belonged on stage beside frank n. furter - if we're going to rope her into a rocky horror picture show theme, than that means anyone wearing black, fishnets, and has red lipstick might as well start doing the time warp.

I feel like they’re just grasping for something to write about, as most of the villagers didn’t really fit the adult theme; they were kind of trying too hard. Acnh is a game for all ages, so they most likely didn’t make any adult villagers on purpose however the Tiffany one was decent, although the others didn’t really seem adult.

i would have figured poor dental hygiene would be like.. yellow? cavities? nonexistent because they're falling out of your head? i was always under the impression that having a teeth "gap" wasn't an issue. {edit} wasn't an issue in comparison to like.. not brushing, etc.

i am not quite sure how poor dental hygiene or untamed eyebrows are adult? Like sure, take care of your teeth and facial hair, but seriously, i don’t think that’s really an “adult theme”. I mean- i get their point, some kids will do things because they saw it on tv or in a video game, but it’s not necessarily “adult”

i've gotten really used to seeing that "gap" i suppose as well, and it just seems 100% normal to me. i also used to watch a lot of america's next top model when i was younger such a bad admission but i'm willing to admit what my guilty pleasure used to be and i always loved the girls that took those stupid beauty standards and pushed them. i remember a really gorgeous girl who was super broken down by her tooth gap, and it held her back from so much because she was so sensitive and self-conscious about it. but eventually she learned to use that unique part of herself to get her foot in the door for her career, and instead of trying to shy away from it, embraced it.

i went back to the article and i went through the "TL;DR" section they have with the pictures and one sentence descriptions. i really don't like how they put harry's. "harry's unkept beard & overall appearance makes him an odd choice for a kid's playmate." what exactly are they trying to insinuate here with that?

Okay I lowkey feel like this article was written by some super overprotective mom or some bs who thinks that everything is "innapropriate" because like 75% of this article is unreasonable to me.

I cant even lie but Jitters definitely is kind of sus and he definitely screams either traumatized or drug addict or something along the lines to me.

The rest have no problem in my opinion-

I dont think theres anything wrong with Limberg. Hes my least favorite in my village, sure, but Ive become attached to him and his hygine definitely is not the reason i dont like him i dont see why thats an issue.

Harry also isn't a problem. So what if he has a beard?? Yes hes a bit annoying but he's not inappropriate.

Rodeo is cool to me and he's sweetttt i dont see whats wrong with him

Even if theres some questionable things about some of the villagers though (like tiffany and jitters), that doesn't mean that they are completely inappropriate or shouldn't be used or should be taken out of the game or whatever. To me thats over the top...

In Korea Teddy's name is Byeongtae which is literally the word for "pervert" in Korean. It's because he looks like p*dobear.... Now THAT'S inappropriate
