Villagers donating bells for PWP's?

So, I'm having a gyroid in my town for a blue bench project. Nobody was viting me, only Eunice was walking around. Suddenly, the number wasn't 0 but 2.338 or something like that. And the next day, The number wasn't 2.338 anymore but 7.894 so I think that Eunice is doing that. But, I'm not sure. So, is it true?

I don't think it's specific villagers donating, but rather that up to a certain amount of Bells is added each day. I've never seen a villager directly donate, and it doesn't change until the day's changed.

Yeah they donate little by little each time the day rolls over. Honestly not worth it if you want anything to be built quickly lol
