Hey everyone, today I had a bad experience, I open my island to help people get a DIY from one of my villagers and for the first time I decided to stay inside, so it could go longer. (my mistake) during that time someone took my tips and some items (again my mistake) I don't care about the items or I make this to find a culprit, but I care about people tipping me with their stuff and someone taking it away, it's so disrespectful.

If you visit an island to get a DIY from a villager:
1- Respect your turn.
2- Unless stated, leave when you get it. (via the airport to not crash the game)
3- Respect boundaries, don't talk to other villagers or shop, if not specified
4- Always tip what you can, it might be free to let people in, but it's time consuming.
5- DO NOT GRAB ITEMS, it doesn't matter how tempting, it's just rude.
6- Be polite and don't destroy flowers.

This is really one of the best communities online, and 99.99% of everyone here is awesome, let's work together to keep it this way, because I really love TBT forums, but right now I'm just sad. To all the awesome people that I have traded with or have visited, thank you for being so nice.

Aw, sorry to hear that. When I visited this one island for the diy, they told me to drop it off also outside and I felt worried if someone were to yoink it.

Maybe if you do stay inside to prevent the villager from leaving, you could have a friend keep watch outside? That is if you would do it this way again.

That's a great idea

Sorry to hear that happened to you! It's nice when people share when their villagers are giving out cool diys so it's unfortunate when people take advantage. These are the expected etiquette for any types of trades. Fortunately whenever I've had people over to my island for trades I've had polite guests who also ask me if it's ok if they check out shops etc. if they want to. We should all be considerate of each other :)

I recommend leaving by the Airport. If the Minus button times out, the session is rolled back to the last save.

yeah this happened to me today when i was hosting my island for a cutting board diy and it caused her to stop crafting! leaving with the minus button can roll back the game if people don't close windows or nook phones on time, so I think leaving by the airport is the safest way.

Thanks I didn't knew that.

On an interesting note, this rollback lets you reroll Celeste recipes and Sahara Ticket items.

Oh no, I'm so sorry that happened. :/
It can be so stressful to host DIY give outs, I did it a few days ago and I was always going in and out of the villagers house to see if he's still crafting.
