Was Redd in your town the day previously? I ask because the last time I remembered a villager sent me art was after Redd visited. I'm curious to know if this is more likely to happen after Redd shows up.

For me he wasn't. The last time I had Redd around was May 5th, so around 2 and a half weeks ago.

The first art piece I ever got from a villager was real! I forget what it was exactly but I believe Teddy sent me a statue in the mail. My next one from Punchy was fake, though

I received a genuine sculpture from a Cranky, my town is half male and female. If no one here or on twitter has received art from female villagers, then I suppose female villagers don't give out art. Ninji usually wouldn't leave out important details like that. I guess he thinks we should be smart enough to figure out if the personality isn't listed, they don't give it out.

It's so odd. Snooty, Smug, Normal, and Cranky should send art. Lazy and Jocks should not be sending art, especially instead of female villagers!

I haven't gotten art from villagers yet but I remember you could buy paintings from them in nl. it was a gamble of course because it could be fake but that's the chance u had to take.
