Yup. A furniture topic.
Personally, I love to give my neighbors either their usual furniture if their house has been changed, or giving them furniture that I feel suits them better.
Now, have you ever gotten a villager to sell you a super expensive furniture? Like some have sweets and gorgeous and cabana series, have you ever managed to snag a rare piece?

Do you decorate your neighbors houses or leave them untouched?

I went into Ken's house when I was playing earlier, and it just looked like a mess. He has all sorts of weird furniture and his house is PACKED with it. Goose's house is exactly the same way -.- But they just keep asking for more furniture and making their rooms look crazy.

I also visited a dream address and I went into Bruce's house because I have a hard time remembering which deer is which -.- and when I went in, he literally had 3 pieces of furniture in his house. It looked so weirdddd xP

I try to keep their houses looking good. Trying to make Tia's house a music classroom with tea. (K-ON reference. xD)

I am currently trying to get my villagers to replace most of their houses with spooky series items for halloween. =D It's proving difficult though as they keep just giving them back. :P My re-tail has been full of pumpkins all week and every request / letter is (ful)filled with spooky items.

And I haven't managed to get anything rare off my villagers greedy little hands outside of one of Marshals sloppy series things from re-tail. Also I'm pretty sure Zell is emotionally attached to his Gorgeous counter and sleeps on it.

EDIT: Also Roald seems intent on selling everything he owns and not replacing it. He only has 5 items in his house now. ~ my theory is Nook has driven up the price of his steroids.

In my first town, I just gave my villagers whatever furniture I had on me, but now I'll only do that to the villagers I dislike. If I have any I want to keep and they get rid of their furniture, I keep it in Re-Tail in the hopes that they'll buy it back, or if they ask me for something, I just go and get it for them.

I don't touch really good houses- Mira has an almost complete set of Astro set.
But I have filled Sly's jungle theme with Dlc and modern things!

I have mix feelings. I could of gotten a sloppy couch from Marshal, but I decided to let him keep it because his furniture layout was perfect. If it's rare stuff, I let them keep it. On the hand, if it's someone like Del or Kyle where there stuff isn't great or bad layout, I would send them stuff that I think best suits them. So I'm a little of both (depends on what they already have)

I'm trying to get them with a nice furniture theme. I'm trying to keep Tangy's with a food theme right now-everyone else's houses are completely messed up xD I'm thinking of getting the cabana set for Blaire's house.

Some villagers I don't really care as much about as to which items to give them. I just got Eugene from someone not too long ago and in his house there was shirts and furniture that didn't suit him (except the one sleek dresser). Him being one of my ultimate favorites, I've been giving him sleek and black items to make it fit him better. Now I just need to find him his leather jacket! Purple doesn't really suit him either.

Most things that change are the things ontop of their furniture. My villagers love asking for river fish and butterflies.

Lucky is not allowed to have his house altered. Ever. It's awesome. The others I don't really mind :3 I never buy the furniture though, I just like to adorn them with new furniture and bugs and stuff ^_^

If a villager pings me and requests something of mine, I never say no. And I won't turn down a request to catch a fish or bug, so their houses inevitably get altered.

But I won't encourage them to buy stuff from Re-Tail if I don't think it suits their home, and I won't give them furniture that doesn't suit their home either.
