Villager void question?

Ok so something really weird is happening. The villagers from my other cartridge are appearing in my new town (which is a complete different town in a different cartridge).


As of right now I am playing in my new town Gothica. However, villagers from Achrome are showing up at my town. First it was Flo, then Hamphrey and now Rodeo. I do not visit my towns nor do I have a second ds...so I?m just kind of wondering how this is happening. Is it just a mere coincidence?



I?ve had to buy two amiibo cards (hamphreys and Rodeo) since I wasn?t expecting them and they plotted on bad places. Now I?m on edge though thinking other villagers will show up.

You probably have StreetPass activated.When two 3DS's with StreetPass activated come within 30 feet of each other they exchange information from whichever game it's activated for,including voided villagers.Here's a link from Nintendo on how to shut it off:

Yeah but I only have one ds. I have two cartridges but only one ds. Is it still the same case?

The only way that I know this can happen is if there are two 3DS's involved but since you only have one,I don't really know how it's happening.I have a couple of questions:How many villagers do you have in your new town?When your Achrome villagers move to your new town and you talk to them for the first time since their arrival,do they say something like "Hi,I'm Flo from Achrome and I just moved here today."?

This used to happen in AC Gamecube because town data was stored on memory cards and not on the actual game disc.The Gamecube has slots for two memory cards and if you had a town on each card then villagers would randomly move from one town to the next.In New Leaf,the game data is stored on the game cartridge and since you can only have one cartridge loaded in your 3DS,you need a second 3DS to move villagers from one town to the other.

That's very weird! I also have two cartridges and one 3DS and even if I had space no villagers moved between towns, ever. Could it be a coincidence, and they're not the same Hamphrey and Rodeo?
